Something special is happening on South Main. ✂️✨
The Welman Project is reopening in a new space and we’re celebrating with a tri-chamber ribbon cutting you won’t want to miss.
This move marks a powerful new chapter for an organization on a mission to fill a classroom, not a landfill.
The Welman Project is more than a nonprofit. It is a creative engine for our community. By repurposing surplus business materials, they equip teachers with free supplies, spark hands-on learning for students, support local artists, and create space for makers of all ages to explore what’s possible.
Inside the new space you’ll find:
• A teacher warehouse stocked with unlimited free materials
• A retail store for affordable arts and craft supplies
• A makerspace designed to empower creativity
Join us as we cut the ribbon, celebrate growth, and rally around a mission that supports our educators, fuels creativity, and keeps usable materials out of landfills.
Separately, The Welman Project is hosting a public “Welman Housewarming" open house on Saturday, May 16 (10 AM – 3 PM) to welcome the broader community into the building!
Let’s show up strong for The Welman Project and welcome them to their new home the right way. 💛
