This presentation covers tips to avoid misunderstandings and minimize liability when dealing with vendors, suppliers, and customers. 

About Lisa Mares: 
Lisa Mares is the founder of the Mares Law Firm, PLLC, which is based in Fort Worth and advises businesses and non-profits on contracts, intellectual property, real property, regulatory, employment, and government relation matters. Lisa has previously advised a publicly traded corporation, a regional tollway authority, as well as cities and other political subdivisions across north Texas. Lisa has also provided policy analysis as an Assistant Special Counsel for the North Carolina Department of Justice. Prior to law school, Lisa served as an assistant campaign manager on a congressional campaign, as an assistant committee clerk for the Texas State House committee on criminal jurisprudence, and as an administrative aide for former State Senator Rodney Ellis. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and government, Lisa earned her Master’s in Public Policy from Duke University and her law degree from the University of North Carolina.
