Name: Contracting Series: Introduction to Federal Contracting
Date: October 13, 2021
Time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
The Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is partnering with UTA's Cross Timbers Procurement Center by hosting a contracting series for businesses interested in doing business with the federal government.

This three-part virtual series will take place on October 12 through October 14. All sessions will be from 2:00pm-3:00pm.

October 12th- Capability Statement: Participants will learn how to write a one-page capability statement that serves as their thirty second elevator speech. This webinar will cover the descriptive and actionable language that will make your capability statement stand out. Participants will also learn which elements to include on the capability statement- such as company data, core competencies, capacity, past performance, and cybersecurity.

October 13th- Introduction to Government Contracting: We discuss the issues of government contracting (i.e., Federal, State, and local) so the potential contractor can decide what they need to do next to start, or continue, their government contracting program with confidence. Some of the subjects are: System for Award Management (SAM), The Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS), contracting rules, regulations & law, IFB vs. RFP, Registration & Certifications, GSA, SBIR/STTR, SBA, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

October 14th- Proposal Preparation: This webinar is for the advanced commercial or government contractor who is currently, or planning to, prepare a federal technical proposal for Construction or Service Contract. (Normally Commodity Contracts do not require a Technical Proposal but it is possible). Highlights of the federal government technical proposal assembly are discussed in a webinar setting. Contractors must be able to show past performance and financial capability.

All sessions will be hosted on the Go To platform. To access the meeting, please register using the following links:
