More about Flor Yoga Institute:
Meet Fort Worth Yoga Instructor, Cristal Hernandez-Galvan. Cristal is a certified Yoga Instructor based in Fort Worth, Texas who is announcing the official launch of Flor Yoga Institute.

Cristal’s mission is to Disrupt Division and Create Connection, Blurring the Cultural Boundaries of Yoga and Cultivate a Culture of Change.  Her vision for Flor Yoga Institute is to be a welcoming, inclusive, and diverse yoga community; a culture where you feel embraced, encouraged, and empowered!

Cristal has dedicated herself to the practice of, study and teaching of yoga since discovering the benefits in 2006 when she was encouraged to take her first class by the esteemed Ob/Gyn, Dr. Lori Atkins Williamson.  Cristal recalls the words her doctor, friend, and fellow yoga instructor, “Go with me to take a yoga class, it will change your life.” And that it did! Cristal was inspired by the practice of Baptiste Power Yoga. She attended her first teacher training in 2009 with renowned yoga revolutionary Baron Baptiste and completed her 200-RYT through the Brooke Hamblet Teacher Training School in Fort Worth.  Cristal has also studied with Dr. Ray Long, Phillip Urso, Rod Stryker, Doug Swenson and many other gifted instructors. Although numerous teachers have contributed to her growth, she holds Baron Baptiste, and the powerful work of Baptiste Yoga, as well as Brooke Hamblet, Founder of Indigo Yoga, mentor, and friend, near and dear to her heart!

Cristal is passionate about taking yoga to the community.  She loves working with kids and teens and attended Baptiste Yoga Kids Teacher Training, as well as the Baptiste Foundation’s Unstoppable Program, which exists to create an unstoppable and resilient generation of youth that use the methodology of Baptiste Yoga as a life skill. Cristal also has a heart for service within the trauma affected community. She has shared the transformational benefits of yoga at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center and has been featured as Telemundo’s Hispanic Hero in the Community for her outreach work, teaching bilingual English/Spanish yoga classes at a shelter for women affected by domestic violence.

Flor Yoga Institute offers classes inspired by Baptiste Yoga that will empower you to step out of your comfort zone, strengthen your mind and body and awaken you to live at your highest potential. Classes are held daily, and because Cristal believes language should not be a barrier to access yoga, you will find Yoga en Español on the schedule as well.
Cristal’s message: Flor Yoga Institute will embrace you, meet you where you are and guide you to cultivate presence, power, and possibility - on and off your mat! You will be inspired to create connection, to be of service for others and to add LIFE to your LIFEstyle - Because yoga is for everybody – no matter your language or background. ABRAZOS!
