Event Description:
The 2017 Gala Committee is busy planning for our annual fundraising event. This year's gala will take place on Friday, October 27 at Ridglea Country Club. Money raised helps fund our LIP education program and member development programs. We hope we can count on you.Our Fort Worth chapter is the largest in the state and together we can make this event a huge success. We are calling on all members to support the event in one or more of the following ways: 1) Sponsor: either sponsor or reach out to potential sponsors. 2) Donate item(s): Donate or help us solicit auction items. 3) Volunteer: There are several meetings and workshops leading up to the event. Whether you can only attend once or every meeting, your involvement is important. There are also volunteer opportunities for the day of the event. 4) Attend: This is the most fun you'll ever have helping to raise money!
It takes a village and whatever support you can provide is greatly appreciated. The night includes mariachi music, dinner, auctions, sugar skull face painting, dancing to live music. We promise you and your guests will have a great time! Below are details on ways you can get involved.

Sponsors - Who Do You Know?
Sponsors are a key to the success of this event. Do you own a business or work for a company that can support this event? Can you help reach out to your connections and help us solicit sponsors? Sponsor levels are available at $10,000, $5,000, $2,500, and $1,500. This year we are excited to announce that AlphaGraphics at Western Center is our Print Sponsor. Thanks to Miguel Quintanar Jr., we will be able to provide additional recognition to our sponsors through mailed invitations and professional print materials in numerous forms. We are also thankful to the Fort Worth Business Press, our Media Sponsor, who will feature four ads before and after our event to allow us to recognize our sponsors further. Feel free to forward the link for the Sponsor Guide or if you would prefer a hard copy to hand-deliver or mail, let us know and we will get one to you. Print deadline for sponsors to be included in the gala invitations is August 25. We will accept Sponsor Commitment Forms after this date but to be listed in the invitations, commitments need to be confirmed by August 25. Auctions
Fundraising activities on the night of the event includeBig Board, Silent Auction, Heads or Tails, and aLiquor Wagon. Big Board items will be higher priced products, ($1,000 value or higher) that will be displayed in prominent area and listed in the program. Heads or Tails will feature one MEGA prize that will be awarded to the winner of the game. We are planning a staycation or get-away package for this. The liquor wagon will feature $20 raffle tickets for the chance to win a wagon with enough liquor to stock the best bar. Volunteer
An event of this size does not happen without a lot of helping hands. Join the committee or help as you are able. Our gala committee meetings are the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm. The July meeting will be on July 11th due to 4th of July holiday. There will also be workshops to help with decorations. These will be announced at later dates. The workshops are not only productive but they serve as great way to meet and socialize with other members. This year we are also recruiting "Guys for Gala" to help with set up and take down on gala night.
We have a committee Facebook group page to keep everyone in the loop. If you'd like to volunteer to work on the committee, attend a decorating workshop, or work the night of the event, contact Elvira Munoz: fw-gala@hwnt.org
Members Only
We are doing something different this year in relation to member tickets. After our sponsor deadline on August 25, we will open up the opportunity for Member Tablesat a discounted price over the lowest sponsor level. Members may either purchase a table and invite guests or several members can join together to complete a table. Special member pricing is $1,250 for a table of 10. Member tables will receive reserved seating after the sponsor tables. There are no sponsor level benefits for member tables so if you would like to promote your business or be recognized as a supporter of our organization, the additional $250 for the $1,500 level is well worth all the benefits. Remember, this will be the most fun you will have raising money for our great organization!
