Join us for the premiere of “Memories of My Grandfather,” a soap opera that portrays a multigenerational Hispanic family and their emotional journey after their grandfather’s diagnosis. Hispanics are disproportionately affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. They are 1.5 times more likely than white individuals to develop the disease and face greater barriers to receiving a timely diagnosis. After the premiere, a panel discussion and Q&A session will explore the themes of the soap opera, including early detection, diagnosis, and the early signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s. Information, resources, and support will be provided for individuals and families facing dementia.
