Can you imagine living without shelter in the middle of a Texas summer? Our community members experiencing homelessness are doing just that. They are at the mercy of relentless heat, scorching sun and incessant mosquitoes. But you can help! The JPS Foundation is collecting bottled water, sunscreen and insect repellent for the JPS Street Medicine Team and the JPS Medical Home at True Worth. These simple items, which you and I often take for granted, can prevent serious health issues triggered by heat exhaustion, dehydration, severe sunburns and mosquito bites. There are four ways you can help: • Order your donation from our Amazon Wish List online and have it shipped directly to the JPS Foundation. • Drop off your donation between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 1223 S. Main St., Fort Worth, TX, 76104. If you have a large donation, we would be happy to arrange pick up.
