The 28th Annual Victory Over Violence Walk/Run takes place Saturday April 12, 2025. This USATF certified 5K walk/run and a 1K Fun Run starts at Trinity Park Duck Pond near downtown Fort Worth and winds through Trinity Park. T-shirt, food, beverages, a huge children’s area and more are included. The Victory Over Violence 5K/1K funds critical services for survivors of sexual assault — everything from a 24-hour crisis hotline to counseling that helps people heal from the effects of abuse. Statistics show by adulthood, 44% of people have been assaulted; this means we all know someone, whether or not we’ve heard their story. Join me at Trinity Park — you can run, walk, volunteer or donate. It’s an opportunity to support survivors and do real good in our community.
