EECU is looking for Real Estate Loan Closer/Funder that will prepare the loan documents for Home Equity, Home Equity line of Credit, Home Improvement, Interim, Land, Purchase/Refi Mortgages and other Real Estate Loans. This position must have a clear understanding of real estate legal documents and title policies /searches to perform at a proficient level.
Key responsibilities for the Real Estate Loan Closer/Funder will be scheduling loan closings with the Member, Branch and/or Title Company, preparing loan documents, and legal document review before sending final legal closing documents to Member, Branch and/or Title Company. The successful candidate must have a clear understanding of real estate legal documents and title policies. This position will be responsible for re-verifying effective APR on all real estate loans, including HPML loans, through the government website and/or LOS System, responsible for the final calculation of escrow analysis and preparing escrow disclosures, as well as paying invoices for Homeowners Insurance, Flood Insurance, and applicable Property Taxes on the property. This candidate must ensure that all EECU, State and Federal documents are properly executed by Member/ Branches/Broker/Title Companies in loan package, and will be responsible for the daily disbursement and set up of all loans, which will include loans with escrow, interim and home improvements draws, and loans sold in the Secondary market (Fannie, Freddie, FHLB). This position will be required to take 20 hours of training annually to comply with the SAFE Act.
Candidates for EECU should possess the following knowledge and experience:
Ø Two years’ experience loan closing/loan processor
Ø Three years’ experience financial/banking
Ø Must be able to work under pressure and within limited time constraints
Ø Must be able to maintain member confidentiality of member information regarding income, job, account information, credit and loan decisions
Ø Strong written, verbal communication, and time management skills
Ø Understanding mail merge software, Access software, Symitar software and Encompass software a plus
Ø High School diploma or equivalent
