Network Administrator III- Fort Worth

Job Description

EECU is looking for a Network Administrator III, who will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, scalability, recoverability and stability of the enterprise network. Network Administrators are responsible for the management and maintenance of software, hardware and connectivity infrastructure of the EECU LAN, WAN and voice networks. This includes server hardware, virtual hosts, virtualization software, SANs, all server level operating systems, firewalls, routing, switching, and any other network connectivity. 

We're looking for candidates in the Fort Worth area. This is not a full-time remote position.

Key responsibilities for the Network Administrator III:   

  • Develops, installs, implements, programs, and maintains all network and telecommunications systems, applications, and security and network configurations of network and telecommunication devices.  
  • Develops technical roadmap, recommends upgrades, maintains current system, and implements new network and telephony applications and equipment.  
  • Support and configures Microsoft Azure and M365 resources and policies
  • Support firewall rule sets and effectively communicating firewall rule changes to ensure applications are capable of successfully traversing across firewalls.  
  • Manages security operations entailing responding to incidents, monitoring, and maintaining systems relating to network security.  
  • Manages the performance of Cisco network and telephony hardware and software platforms at the most advanced level. (Cisco certification preferred)
  • Develops and applies security rules to network, telecommunications, and systems software and hardware platform.
  • Plans and oversees DNS administration for all internal and external DNS addresses
  • Oversee certificate creation and management for EECU systems.
  • Handles complex problems, maintaining continuity of normal workflow, ensuring compliance with credit union standard operating procedures, standards and regulations, solving new or unfamiliar problems.  
  • Mentors, and supports level I and II administrators as needed.   
  • Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, FCRA/FACTA and Esign. Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.  
  • EECU will, in compliance with applicable laws, evaluate an applicant's credit history. Only applicants with good credit history will be considered for open positions.   

Candidates for EECU should possess the following knowledge and experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology is preferred or equivalent experience.   
  • At least five years as a Network Administrator III.    
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.   
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.   
  • Ability to conduct research into software development and delivery concepts, as well as technical application issues.   
  • Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language.   
  • Very strong customer service orientation.   
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills.
