Are you an activated self-starter who cannot wait to dive in headfirst and start making things happen? Do you like a long-term challenge that involves strategy and some risk? Does it energize you to connect with people and actively seek out ways to make their contributions more meaningful? Does it excite you to see your name next to the dollar signs you raised for the purpose of ending poverty in our community?
If this sounds like you, keep reading.
Catholic Charities Fort Worth is looking for a trailblazer who will make a name for themselves as a Major Gifts Officer. This role requires tenacity, resourcefulness and integrity that aligns with our agency’s mission and values.
What will you be doing?
Cultivate & Engage Donors
You will be a go-to connector for the agency, using your natural relational skills to really get to know what makes someone tick, where their interests lie, and how best to organically create a path for their involvement at CCFW. You will be running social algorithms to create “aha moments” for the perfect donor opportunities – from outside of the box volunteer opportunities to the perfect project for an individual to invest in.
Learn & Implement a Proven Fundraising Model
You will be given the Benevon® fundraising model as a tool that has proven results. You’ll take what’s great and find ways to personalize it with your own spin to create success. We’ll give you a backbone of events and opportunities to pull from, and you’ll create connections and community around it. You’ll self-start to make things happen.
Raise Resources to End Poverty
This is where the rubber meets the road! Your commitment to attaining your target goals will drive you to the finish line. You understand that a “no” today means a possible “yes” in the future. You will put into action the plan you have charted out and find high reward ways to enrich donor’s lives, get critical funding needed to end poverty in our community, and do so in a way that you are confident will result in a YES. You will have your own goal to be accountable to, and you will not stop until you get there.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years’ experience in donor cultivation and securing financial support OR a combination of relevant education and experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and follow proven Benevon® fundraising model
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and English communication skills
- Project management experience a plus
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license; willing to transport others in personal car
Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This position may require flexibility to work various hours and occasional weekends, as events and meetings warrant.
