Job Description Summary:
The Events Seasonal Assistant will work closely with the Events and Operations staff to implement and coordinate the various TRWD OUTDOOR special events. This position will assist in the set up/ take down, coordination, clean up, and site support of special events at Panther Island Pavilion and internal TRWD events including but not limited to Trinity Flyfest, Trash Bash and Fort Worth’s Fourth. This position participates in event preparation work and general organizing and upkeep of event inventory.
Job Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

- Perform set up and tear down duties at events
- Perform administrative office support such as filing, copying, answering phones, organizing event supplies, moving equipment, assembling marketing materials, office runner, etc.
- Provide site support for all special events required by providing a variety of tasks through the duration of the event
- Assist with vendor and sponsor hospitality at events
- Assist in accounting and reporting for events
- Maintain familiarity with strategic district levels of service
- Continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts
- Perform other duties as required
Required Experience:
- Less than one (1) year of experience, preferably in events or recreational activities
- Able to do heavy lifting on occasion
- Experience using Microsoft Word & Excel
- Have dependable transportation
Desired Experience:
- Basic knowledge of recreation trails, programs, and activities
- Ability to meet and exceed District and staff goals
- Deep interest in outdoor events, and recreational and leisure pursuits and being a productive part of a team
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Must have good oral communication skills
Required Education/Certification/License:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas driver’s license
Desired Education/Certification/License:
- Highly competitive applicants for this position will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality management, outdoor recreation, recreation management, parks and recreation, recreation administration, leisure administration, or related field
and/or have equivalent related experience
