Goodwill Fort Worth Promotes Ruben Cruz to Retail Director

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (June 16, 2020) – Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth, Inc. announced today that Ruben Cruz has been promoted to retail director. In this position, Cruz will support eight retail stores in Goodwill Fort Worth’s central region, overseeing hiring, HR support, development training, budget oversight and customer service.
 
“Ruben was promoted in March just as COVID-19 was taking over and he has already truly stepped up - going above and beyond to assist his teams during this unprecedented time,” said Rosemary Cruz, Goodwill Fort Worth’s Vice President of Retail Sales & Donated Goods. “His passion and ‘won’t let you down’ attitude make him an excellent fit for this leadership position.”
 
He began his professional career with Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth in 2012, first serving as production supervisor at the Camp Bowie location before being quickly promoted to assistant retail manager at the Haltom City location. In 2013, Cruz was promoted to retail operations manager and has overseen day-to-day retail operations at various locations since 2013. He most recently served as the retail operations manager at the Cooper Street store.
 
Cruz is a 2007 graduate of Trinity High School in Euless. He completed Goodwill Fort Worth’s Retail Leadership Program in 2015 and the Retail Operations Manager Retail Leadership Program in 2019.
