FORT WORTH, TEXAS (September 11, 2024) – Goodwill North Central Texas announced today that the organization has acquired a location in Mineral Wells to open its 27th area retail store. The new store will occupy approximately 18,000 sq. ft. of retail space on 1.35 acres of land at 4518 Highway 180 East in Mineral Wells.
“Each new Goodwill retail store serves as a vital source of revenue, directly supporting our free education, training and job placement programs for people with disabilities, the formerly incarcerated, at-risk youth, our veterans and people experiencing homelessness,” said David Cox, president and CEO of Goodwill North Central Texas. “As we embark on this exciting venture in Mineral Wells, we're not just opening another retail store; we're expanding our mission to empower individuals facing barriers to employment. Together, as a community, we can turn every donated item into a chance for a brighter future.”
The new store is expected to create approximately 20 jobs in the Mineral Wells area, further contributing to the local economy. Construction on the remodel has already begun, with the store expected to open to the public in early 2025. Reliable Commercial Construction has been selected as the general contractor for the project.
Details for the grand opening event, where shoppers can expect special promotions and a chance to meet the team, will be announced on social media later this year. Follow us on social media at Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube.
