General Description:
Under the direction of the ReStore Director, the ReStore Associate – General Labor, is an agency Problem Solver. Broadly speaking he or she has responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of a building and the surrounding grounds. Additional responsibilities include assisting stocking materials to the sales floor, unloading donations and helping customers load their vehicle when necessary.
Problem Solvers are the foundation of the agency. They efficiently handle a mountain of critical and required tasks. Problem Solvers are empowered to solve problems. They make sure important details do not slip through the cracks, are incredibly well organized, make the agency look professional and ensure excellent audits, among many other things they facilitate.

General Responsibilities…
- Facilitate and support primary agency programs.
- Provide calm, confident, and positive leadership to the entire organization.
- Disseminate information readily to stake holders as appropriate.
- Submit accurate reports according to deadlines.
- When confronted with things with which you question, disagree, or have a concern, speak directly with those involved.
- Ensure that your area, office, and/or building is clean, organized, safe, and in compliance with all codes.
- Comply with grant requirements accordingly.
- Cross train with fellow staff to ensure a steady flow of business despite absences.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the ReStore building and property are clean, organized and safe, by performing the following duties…
- Collecting and taking out trash
- Break down boxes and pallets as necessary to maximize dumpster space
- Lawn maintenance
- Sweeping
- General housekeeping
- General facility maintenance
- Operate equipment necessary such as forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and lawn maintenance equipment.
- Provide outstanding customer service to customers and donors.
- Stock material to the sales floor in their appropriate location with proper signage when necessary.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary.
- Utilize available volunteers to assist with building safety and maintenance.
- And other duties as assigned by the ReStore Managers and/or ReStore Assistant Managers
